Red Carpet Confections from
Any lover of red carpet fashion
will find it impossible to resist Elie Saab’s spot-on (as always) couture
confections. Shown in a range of neutrals, black, pale pink, and baby blue,
each of the 45 dresses this season were cinched at the waist with a slender
belt. The result was a fantastic lineup of ethereal, feminine, waist-focused
cocktail dresses and gowns, many of which featured embroidery atop delicate
sheer fabric. The piece de resistance was the final brocade wedding gown, which
was truly breathtaking with its gold embroidery and lace.
It's also worth noting that a
number of the collection's looks featured long sleeves, a growing trend this
couture season.
